Whether you’re currently a full-time creative in sports and enjoy working behind the scenes or working towards a career in sports with an applicable degree, we need your help to bring our vision to life and ultimately push the industry forward. OPPORTUNITIES

    • Serve in a leadership capacity in assistance to the Event Ops & Marketing Director

    • Maintain a knowledge and understanding for event details and be able to execute individually, should the staff need to separate and operate different venues at once

    • Lead the setup, staffing, and execution of networking mixers, MVP Lunch, and VIP Dinner as assigned

    • Assist with leading the staff, maintaining MLC Connect standards, and ensuring a successful and smooth event

    • Assist with setup, organization, and breakdown of the stadium and event venues including signage placement, table and chairs arrangement, green room setup, merch setup, etc.

    • Work the registration table, welcoming attendees, distributing materials, and providing information about the conference

    • Work the merch table, selling swag, answering questions, and assisting with their purchase

    • Act as a greeter and all around resource for attendees, making them feel welcome, assisting them as needed, and answering any questions they may have

    • Assist the Stage Manager with stage setup changes between speakers

    • Serve as a point of contact and resource for speakers and sponsors

    • Support the staff as a whole and be willing to help as requested, ensuring a successful and smooth event

    • Serve as an Event Coordinator but also in a leadership capacity, overseeing the whole volunteer staff, ensuring everyone knows their responsibilities

    • Handle staff communications prior to the conference and during event week

    • Handle ordering and picking up meals for volunteers

    • Serve as the designated driver of the staff bus/cargo van

    • Support the staff as a whole and be willing to help as requested, ensuring a successful and smooth event

    • Serve as an Event Coordinator but also in a leadership capacity, overseeing and managing inventory, distribution, sales, and staffing - including for-sale merchandise as well as giveaway swag boxes

    • Collect and count all merch when we arrive on site to ensure everything has arrived on time and is accounted for

    • Set up the merch table in a creative and cool way to allow attendees to touch and try on the items while shopping

    • Utilize Event Assistants to ensure that the merch table is staffed at all times

    • Work with the Event Ops Director prior to the conference to set up a POS system, design the merch displays, and order any needed displays, racks, etc.

    • Oversee the distribution of giveaway swag boxes at the registration table

    • Support the staff as a whole and be willing to help as requested, ensuring a successful and smooth event

    • Oversee the on-stage production and ensure a seamless and creative experience for guests visually and audibly

    • Ensure that sessions start on time and adjust the timeline as needed to keep everything running in a timely fashion

    • Ensure that presentations are finalized and queued up for each speaker

    • Work with the Speaker Liaison to get speakers prepared and mic’d up before their speaking session, and answer any questions they may have

    • Support the AV team as needed

    • Assist with setup, organization, and breakdown of the stadium and event venues

    • Be willing to help as requested, ensuring a successful and smooth event

    • Must have social media experience

    • Manage the Instagram, X, Facebook, and LinkedIn pages for MLC Connect during event week

    • Create social media calendar and posting schedule for the 5 days we are in market

    • Work with the creative team to ensure the posts are being submitted on time and are meeting brand standards

    • Write captions for social media posts

    • Assist with setup, organization, and breakdown of the stadium and event venues

    • Be willing to help as requested, ensuring a successful and smooth event

REQUIREMENTS

  • Deadline to volunteer: February 28, 2025

  • Monthly mandatory Zoom meetings leading up to the conference

  • Required to be in-market for 5 days around the conference date

  • Have a team-player “all hands on deck” attitude, be willing to help with anything and everything, with the understanding that there will be late nights and early mornings

  • Must be at least 21 years of age, must qualify as a conference attendee, or be working towards a career in sports with an applicable degree

  • Ready to make lasting relationships, learn, grow your craft, and create a fun and memorable experience for our attendees and other crew members
