“There is an exclusive nation-wide pro sports creative conference in mid July from the 17-18 in Detroit and I’d like to attend. This is the only major level pro sports design conference in the country and many other pro teams and major sports brands are already on board. In-house creative teams talking to creative teams. The speakers are some of the best in my field and the discussion topics will range from creative strategy and leadership to tactical processes and digital brand development, photography storytelling, video content, social media design, and more. These sessions would have an immediate impact on my development and performance and help me work more effectively, learn new techniques, ideas, processes, software tools, tracking tools & best practices directly from my counterparts and industry leaders. This is a unique opportunity to bring back a great deal of creative value to our club's marketing & advertising efforts. Typically design conferences come with expensive registration costs alone in excess of $2,000 so the value and return on investment to attend this conference is phenomenal. The conference mission statement says it all, "Gather, learn, return, apply...". Would you approve myself and the creative team attending on our team's behalf and have our department cover the costs?"
